Portfolio insights are health signals displayed on the dashboard. They cover diversification, cash allocation, liquidity mix, currency balance, debt levels, and cashflow balance — each with a status indicator and contextual guidance to help you spot areas that may need attention.

How do asset allocation goals work?

You can set target allocation percentages for each asset class on the dashboard. Tremis compares your current mix against those targets so you can see at a glance where your portfolio drifts from your plan.

Tremis classifies each account as liquid or illiquid based on its type (e.g., cash and stocks are liquid; property and pensions are illiquid). You can override this per account. Cash, property, mortgages, loans, credit cards, pensions, brokerage positions, crypto, precious metals, private investments, and custom (“other”) accounts are all supported. Start in Accounts and pick the type that best fits.

Add mortgages, loans, and credit cards as liabilities with their balances and rates. They offset your assets in the net worth calculation and appear in debt exposure charts and daily snapshots.

Enter the asset's native currency. Tremis converts to your base currency using cached daily FX rates so your totals, exposures, and snapshots stay consistent.

Yes. Visit Growth → Edit to pick a date, adjust account values, and save. Tremis recomputes totals automatically and records an audit trail of every change.

Yes. You can start multiple conversation threads, return to previous ones, and delete threads you no longer need. Each thread retains its full history so you can pick up where you left off.

Can I track income or costs for an asset that doesn't have a built-in field?

Yes. Every asset has a Custom income & expenses section at the bottom of its edit panel. You can add any number of recurring items — give each one a label, choose whether it is income or an expense, set the amount and frequency (monthly, quarterly, or annual), and save. The items are included in your cashflow totals and per-asset breakdown immediately. Common uses: storage fees for precious metals, interest on a gold account, management fees on a private investment, or any other recurring flow that has no dedicated field.

Do custom items replace or add to the built-in cashflow estimates?

They are additive — custom items stack on top of whatever Tremis already derives from built-in fields (interest rate, dividend, rent, mortgage payment, etc.). Only add a custom item if the income or expense is genuinely separate from what Tremis already estimates, to avoid double-counting.

Visit Settings to download a JSON export of your accounts, snapshots, and cashflow events, or to permanently delete your account and all associated data. Tremis honours GDPR rights for access, export, and erasure.
